One Question that always stay in my mind is this.
How darwan’s evolution is shaping our current 4000 year old human population, specially with non genetic inheritance which we talk about later.
From an evolutionary perspective the question is which genes are getting selected over time to reach most influential places of Human Population.
Prospects of Human Evolution
It is just my opinion but if evolution slowly in about some 50,000 years we should see gradually intelligent people reaching at better positions in Govt, Finance, etc. However one big problem preventing this is non genetic inheritance. The animal parents only inherit their genes to their children. However humans on the other hand inherit money, power, political advantage, financial credibility, edication and a well groomed career to their child. This creates the big hurdles for the best genes to appear on top. This will increase the time span of developing advanced humans to about 1 million years or more because mismatch of genetic and non genetic inheritance.
Impact of Technology on Human Evolution
Finally we may make be able to control CRISP or connect our brains to technology to make evolution obsolete.
It is a really interesting time in the history of mankind.
